Maintenance of law and order, which results in security within the society is achieved through the existence of the criminal justice system. Crimes committed in society are carried out through the use of illegal firearms. According to the bureau of statistics, more than 20% of criminals convicted of crime admit holding guns during their arrest (2016). Therefore, the criminal justice system acts to arrest and convict criminals. This paper will analyze the central stakeholders in a criminal justice system.
The criminal justice department stakeholders are the people affected by the criminal justice department. The internal stakeholders are the person who has been employed to enforce and interpret the law. Internal stakeholders include the parole officers, correctional officers, judges, probation officers, lawyers, suspects, convicts, among others (Loyens et al., 2011). The persons seeking services from the judicial system are the external stakeholders. The external stakeholders include the elected officials, victims of crime, the media, businesses, families, societies, among others who are impacted by what is going on in the judicial system (Loyens et al., 2011).
The internal stakeholders tend to influence the solutions in the criminal system in a positive way by ensuring that the affected victims receive justice for the crime committed against them. Also, through appropriate enforcement and interpretation of the law, the internal stakeholders contribute positively to the solution of crime (Neubauer & Fradella, 2018). It is through the internal stakeholders that the criminal justice system can determine the verdict of the suspects after careful consideration of the evidence and the crime committed. The correctional facilities which form part of the internal stakeholders tend to influence the positive change of behavior of the inmates contributing to the change of the criminal activities in the society. The external stakeholders influence the solutions of the penal system by following through the trial period of the suspects and ensuring that justice has been served when the verdict is announced. In consideration of a solution to the problem, the stakeholders play a critical in ensuring that the justice system carries out its duties in an appropriate manner. Therefore, the provision of a strategic plan and education to key stakeholders is essential in consideration of stakeholders. Also, in solution to the problem, I will consider the stakeholder through a thorough background check on the central stakeholders (Neubauer & Fradella, 2018). There is a need to carry out a stakeholder analysis to understand the influence that each stakeholder has on the problem presented and the general solution to the problem.
Additionally, creating a communication plan between the various stakeholders is central in the consideration process of stakeholders leading to the solution of the problem (Neubauer & Fradella, 2018). There is a need for a clear and precise flow of information among the various stakeholder for equal understanding and solving of the matters. Solving off issues that face the judicial system require open communication where stakeholder can give their view without fear of victimization. The legal system is central to ensuring that justice is served and therefore, bringing together the various stakeholder through open communication is effective in enhancing the judicial system.
Also, consideration of stakeholders in solution to problems requires the creation of a secure operating environment. All the stakeholders of the judicial system need to feel safe while carrying out their mandates. For example, in the correctional facility, which is part of the legal system stakeholders need the provision of adequate security within the facility.
Individuals are motivated to agree with the solutions provided by the judicial system by providing them with crucial information that is used by stakeholders in making decisions on criminal cases. Individuals are persuaded by what they see and how they understand the facts presented, which is central in convincing them to agree with the solutions given by the stakeholders.
Also, the motivation of the individual to buy my solution will be achieved through carrying out education and training programs where the explanation of involvement of various individuals will be carried out. For example, in the correctional facilities, there is the need for an intensive education on the importance of maintaining peace of the society with an I am of influencing the inmates who will, in turn, get motivated to pursue a life free from the criminal record.
In conclusion, the stakeholder is critical in the maintenance and administration of justice in society. It is through the stakeholders of the criminal justice that crime rates are declining. Despite the issues and flaws in the judicial system, solving the problem and providing practical solution lies in addressing the issues with all the stakeholders involved. The stakeholders have the required skill to administer justice as well as eliminate issues in the judicial system.
